Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Sales, the Senior Key Account Manager will lead the Fleet Finance business within Daimler Truck Financial Services. The role will drive sustainable growth, finance penetration, customer profitability and retention by building trusted relationships and delivering competitive financial solutions.A central part of this position is leading the Fleet Sales team (currently 2). You will set clear priorities, drive accountability and build a high-performance culture through regular direction, coaching, feedback, capability development and performance management. 

Reporting into the Head of Marketing and Sales, your key responsibilities will be: 

  • Lead, coach and develop the Fleet Sales team, driving accountability, collaboration and high performance.  

  • Grow the DTFS Fleet Finance business by converting opportunities and increasing finance penetration, customer profitability and fleet services uptake.  

  • Own the sales pipeline, forecasting, account planning and quotation process.  

  • Build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, brand partners and Daimler Truck sales teams.  

  • Lead complex fleet opportunities through commercial and credit approval.  

  • Oversee portfolio performance and coordinate the resolution of customer issues, escalations, debts and delinquencies.  

  • Shape the Fleet Sales strategy using customer, dealer and market insights.  

  • Represent DTFS at customer events, conferences and expos, including interstate travel. 

Qualifications

Who we are looking for: 

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in fleet finance, commercial vehicles, automotive financial services or a comparable business-to-business finance environment, together with demonstrated experience leading and developing a high-performing sales team. You will have strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and sound judgement across customer, pricing, portfolio and credit matters. An effective communicator and relationship builder, you will confidently manage complex stakeholders, competing priorities and escalations through to resolution. You will also be comfortable analysing large data sets and translating insights into practical account and optimisation plans. A structured, collaborative and accountable approach is essential, along with tertiary qualifications, or studies in progress, preferably in business.
