Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Optimise existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Actively engage in hands-on coding and development, ensuring code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
- Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
- Strong experience in backend server development with proficiency in a modern programming language such as Go, TypeScript, or Python. Familiarity with additional backend languages like Java, C#, or Rust is advantageous.
- Experience with Node.js, Docker, Cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related technologies.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration platforms, including OpenShift, Nomad, or Docker Swarm.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar, ensuring efficient, scalable, and secure deployment workflows.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, and guiding teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
