Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to provide hands-on leadership within agile delivery teams, ensuring solutions are designed, built, and delivered in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and engineering best practices.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer stepping into an emerging leadership capacity. You will remain actively hands-on in development while also guiding the team on technical implementation, design decisions, and engineering quality.
As the primary technical authority within the Scrum team, you will collaborate closely with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and Product Owners to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
To be effective, your technical expertise should align strongly with the team’s technology stack — particularly .NET and Angular — enabling you to provide credible leadership and practical support across both design and build phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership within agile delivery teams
- Define and maintain solution design approaches aligned with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with architects to ensure alignment with target state architecture and roadmaps
- Lead technical planning during sprint cycles and Program Increment (PI) planning
- Guide and support team members on technical implementation and development practices
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks and implementation challenges
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, observability, accessibility) are met
- Drive engineering quality through coding standards, reviews, and best practices
- Support integration planning, deployment readiness, and operational supportability
- Contribute to technical governance, assurance activities, and peer reviews
- Mentor developers and uplift team capability
- Participate in engineering communities, guilds, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements
You are a strong engineer with natural leadership capability, comfortable balancing hands-on delivery with technical guidance and mentoring. You bring credibility through your technical expertise and enjoy supporting others to succeed.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in software engineering and solution delivery
- Proven ability to lead technical implementation within agile teams
- Hands-on expertise in .NET or Angular (essential)
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles and engineering standards
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience mentoring developers and improving engineering quality
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Provides specialist technical leadership within delivery teams
- Remains hands-on in development while stepping into a Technical Lead capacity
- Influences engineering practices and technical decision-making
- Performs complex engineering and design activities
- Supports technical governance and quality outcomes
- Contributes to mentoring and capability uplift initiatives
