Senior DesignerThe Opportunity
Join our growing team as a Senior Designer and play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality engineering solutions. Working closely with the Chief Drafter and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to the design and documentation of structural and civil projects across a range of industries. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical skills, collaborate with experienced professionals, and make a tangible impact on major infrastructure outcomes.
Works under the instruction of the chief drafter to undertake design and drafting as required, contributing to Structural engineering projects.
Under general supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgement in making adaptations and modifications.
With little or no supervision undertakes the relevant tasks to complete concept and detailed drafting and design of civil engineering projects.
Assists in the conduct and/or design and drafting of larger and more complex assignments which involve many disciplines, investigations, surveys, Civil, services and geotechnical issues. (i.e. project management)
Liaises with clients, statutory authorities and other consultants where appropriate.
Works with other staff in the team to co-ordinate related activities.
Contributes innovative ideas to the benefit of the drafting team.
Demonstrates a desire to improve quality and efficiency of the services.
Completes work within negotiated standards of time, cost and quality.
Works within Australian Standards, KBR drawing office procedures and established industry practices.
Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will have:
Diploma of Structural Engineering (preferred, but not essential)
Minimum 5 years previous relevant technical drafting and design experience required
