About the role  
   

We are seeking a Senior Data & Insights Analyst to add value and contribute to the success of the Retail Solutions team through the in-depth analysis of customer data, attaining insights and transitioning these to the development of initiatives designed to reduced Gross NAT, improve revenue, optimise costs, drive process improvements and improve the customer experience.  

This role has a national focus and will support the Retail Solutions team objectives towards Zero Gross NAT across the Transurban business. The position will utilise models and data to optimise Transurban’s product and customer offering and assess new treatment / contact strategies to align to segmentation.

A key aspect of the role will be the generation of customer insights, models and recommendations, to support identified opportunities of the NAT team. The role will also be responsible for supporting the tracking and measurement of benefits of Gross NAT reduction initiatives. The role should use data and analysis techniques to challenge existing processes and also present new ways of viewing and understanding our business.  

Day-to-day, you will:     

  • Develop data models to enable the Retail Solutions team and broader business to undertake strategy reviews and optimisation 

  • Work with other data and analytics teams across Customer and Technology to ensure a holistic approach to reducing Gross NAT 

  • Build models to identify customer needs and actions 

  • Develop customer segmentation model, fit for purpose to support identification and delivery of the highest value initiative of the Gross NAT team and appropriate use cases 

  • Support the evaluation and design of new tools, packages and software required to work collaboratively with Transurban’s Data Science, Machine Learning and AI teams 

  • Present findings both formally and informally to influence business decisions. 

 

This role will suit someone with transferrable skills and experiences, including:     

  • At least 2 years' experience in an analytical role solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches 

  • Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources 

  • Fluency with at least one scripting language  

  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL 

  • Expert knowledge of an analysis tool such as SAS  

  • Experience working with large data sets  

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
