We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with strong Risk and python skills and a statistical mindset to work in a newly created role, which will focus on mitigating risk for our Compliance teams.
By leveraging your analytical and risk expertise, you will work closely with our Compliance teams to identify risk and build risk tools as part of our Business Intelligence Team.
Your role with us:
You will work closely with stakeholders across our Casino and Stake Teams to understand our products and customers. You will analyse large and varied datasets to understand risk factors and provide actionable insights.
You will get the opportunity to automate risk processes and build bespoke risk tools to optimise processes around Fraud, AML, Responsible Gambling, KYC and Casino Risk.

What you will do:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of data from multiple sources including transactional databases, customer management systems, and other relevant data repositories.
- Develop and automate daily and weekly reports, incorporating detailed analysis to support business operations and decision-making.
- Design and maintain dashboards that meet the analytical needs of stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Translate raw data into actionable insights to drive informed business strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate data outcomes to assess the effectiveness of key initiatives, including casino risks activities.
- Address ad-hoc analytical queries related to various business functions such as AML, Responsible gambling, and Casino risk users.
- Lead efforts in identifying and mitigating risks, including fraud detection across products and platforms.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis to understand the impact of products and operations on business performance across areas like Compliance, AML, Responsible gambling, and Fraud.
- Optimize and document data workflows, ensuring operational teams can efficiently access and utilize relevant information.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of data integration tasks and visualization tools, ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in processes and tools.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Computer Science or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 2-3 years experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar environments.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and tools, such as Matillion, AWS Glue, or equivalent technologies.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications.
- Background in iGaming or Gambling is highly desirable.
- Proficient in productivity and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs), Slack, JIRA, and Confluence.
