Job Description

We have two Senior Change Manager opportunities on a 24-month fixed-term contract with Viva Energy Australia. We’re looking for experienced professionals who can bring structure to complexity, influence at all levels, and ensure change doesn’t just land it sticks. These roles can be based in Melbourne or Adelaide.

The Senior Change Manager will lead change enablement for a major commercial transformation, driving adoption across complex retail and operational environments to deliver tangible business outcomes and embed a unified operating model.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Lead change strategy and delivery for the Retail transformation program and assigned initiatives
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to align on change impacts and priorities
  • Conduct change impact and readiness assessments and translate these into practical, role-based actions
  • Translate process and system changes into clear, simple and user-friendly guidance (e.g. QRGs, job aids)
  • Design and deliver targeted engagement, communication and training aligned to frontline and operational needs
  • Drive adoption across corporate (including SSO), operational and frontline retail teams
  • Equip and support leaders (e.g. store and operational leaders) to reinforce and embed change
  • Align change activities to operational delivery to minimise disruption to business and customer experience
  • Monitor and report on readiness, adoption and stakeholder sentiment to project leadership
  • Identify and mitigate change risks, resistance and adoption barriers
  • Support transition to BAU, including post-go-live support and stabilisation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering change across medium–large business or tech transformations
  • Experience working in hybrid environments (Agile & Waterfall)
  • Hands-on with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools to track and align change activities
  • Strong experience in complex organisations with frontline, operational, and corporate stakeholders
  • Skilled in change impact & readiness assessments and driving adoption
  • Experience partnering with program, project, and technical teams across multiple streams
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (business, psychology, communications, or similar)

Desirable:

  • Formal change certification (Prosci/ADKAR or equivalent)
  • Experience in retail, operations, infrastructure, or large enterprise transformations
  • Exposure to phased rollouts and post-implementation support
