About this role
Our National Financial Statement Compilation Centre of Excellence is continuing to grow and we are seeking a Senior Associate to join the team. In this role you will play a key part in the preparation of high quality financial statements for audit and non-audit clients nationally, using leading technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements for a range of entities including large private, not-for-profit and government bodies
- Preparing financial statements using Accurri
- Applying accounting standards and drafting of financial statement disclosures
- Liaising directly with clients and Grant Thornton audit teams to obtain information and resolve disclosure matters
- Working to deliver accurate, consistent and quality outcomes
- Supporting and reviewing work prepared by junior team members
Skills and experience
This role will suit someone who has:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance and progress toward or completion of CA qualification
- Experience in preparing or auditing financial statements and applying accounting standards
- Understanding of financial reporting disclosure requirements
- Experience using Accurri or similar financial reporting tools, or willingness to learn
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working autonomously and collaborating with stakeholders
