Your New Role

In this 12-month contract as Senior Analyst - Third Party Risk and Due Diligence you will support the Fund in the due diligence and risk management of third-party providers of services to the Fund, helping meet regulatory obligations, principally APRA CPS 230.

Working closely with the Senior Manager, team members and internal stakeholders globally, you will assist with the delivery of the third-party risk due diligence program across a diverse third-party provider environment.

You will support data management, analysis and reporting, and contribute to the uplift and continuous improvement of processes, systems and tools.

Key duties include but not limited to;

  • Conduct initial inherent risk triage, due diligence and residual risk assessments for new and existing service providers.

  • Enable business owners and vendor relationship managers to identify, manage and oversee third party risk.

  • Support the delivery of the Third Party due diligence program by monitoring and managing workloads.

  • Maintain accurate and timely data records to support risk management activity and reporting.

  • Contribute to senior management and board-level reporting and insights.

  • Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments across multiple risk domains.

  • Nurture and maintain internal relationships with business owners, vendor relationship managers, sourcing, legal, business resiliency and other colleague teams across all levels of the Fund.

  • Support continuous improvement of reporting tools, dashboards, data automation and use of AI tools.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes.

  • Knowledge of APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management.

  • Understanding of third party services use and their key risk elements.

  • Experience in a first line risk role, including risk assessment and control monitoring.

  • Knowledge and understanding of controls management and governance in relation to risks.

  • Experience with accurate record keeping and management within risk and governance systems.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information, identify key issues and actions, and drive resolution.

  • Strong presentation and delivery skills, including running risk workshops, delivering outcomes and collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Competent communication skills with the ability to influence others, supported by strong stakeholder management and networking abilities.

  • Knowledge of the Superannuation, Fund Management and Financial Services industry.
