  • Identify implementation challenges and contribute practical solutions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across Australia, New York and London to support consistent program outcomes.

What You'll Need

  • Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA) or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes
  • Financial Services experience is essential.
  • Experience within Risk Management, Compliance or related control functions.
  • Experience working within Line 1 and/or Line 2 Risk environments.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk, compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting transformation, change or project-based initiatives within Risk functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking capability.
  • Experience working with Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, ideally Archer or similar platforms.
  • Self-motivated approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Highly regarded bonus experience would include:

  • Exposure to CPS 230 or operational resilience initiatives.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Risk or related disciplines.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
