We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst - Audit and Assurance to join our Finance team at Crown Melbourne. Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Audit & Assurance, you will play a critical role in delivering risk-based audit and assurance activities across gaming, food & beverage and other revenue streams.

This role is responsible for complex revenue reconciliations, controls testing, regulatory audit activities and identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes and mitigate revenue leakage risks. Working closely with operational leaders, Finance, IT, Risk & Compliance and External Audit, you will provide valuable insights that support sound governance, regulatory compliance and operational excellence across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Execute risk-based and regulatory audit activities across gaming, food & beverage and other revenue-generating operations in line with approved audit programs.

  • Perform detailed revenue reconciliations, exception investigations and root cause analysis to validate revenue completeness, accuracy and compliance.

  • Identify control weaknesses, process inefficiencies and revenue leakage risks, providing practical recommendations and remediation actions.

  • Conduct control design and operating effectiveness testing across revenue, spend and related business systems.

  • Utilise data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, exceptions and emerging risks, supporting evidence-based audit outcomes.

  • Prepare audit working papers, assurance reports and audit evidence documentation to support internal governance and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with stakeholders across Gaming Operations, Cage & Count, Finance Shared Services, IT and Risk & Compliance to communicate findings and support issue resolution.

  • Provide coaching and day-to-day guidance to Analysts, contributing to audit quality, capability uplift and continuous improvement initiatives.
     

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience in audit, assurance, financial controls or risk management, ideally within a highly regulated or complex transactional environment.

  • Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, internal controls, risk assessment frameworks and assurance practices.

  • Proven experience performing revenue reconciliations, controls testing, investigation of exceptions and financial analysis.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data and identify key business risks.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for complex analysis, with exposure to data analytics and reporting tools highly regarded.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, sound professional judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and communicate technical findings to diverse audiences.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA, CPA or equivalent professional accreditation completed or in progress.
