About the role
The Senior Advisor, Safety Systems Specialist is responsible for the management and continuous improvement of TGE’s Integrated Health, Safety & Environment Management System (HSEMS).
This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and alignment with industry best practices, supporting a leader-led safety culture where safety is championed at every level of the organisation.
Leveraging a strong technical safety background, the Senior Advisor Safety Systems Specialist brings expertise in hazard identification, safety risk management, safety engineering, regulatory compliance, incident investigation and operational safety. By enabling strategic improvements, they ensure the HSEMS remains current, effective, adaptable, and responsive to emerging risks.
A core aspect of the role will be to support risk-based HSE Management System projects that align with TGE’s Safety Strategy and Roadmap. This includes effectively managing change initiatives, ensuring the smooth integration of safety processes across operations while reinforcing leadership engagement and accountability in health and safety practices.

What You’ll Bring
Work, Health & Safety qualifications: Formal qualifications in Work, Health, and Safety (WHS)
HSE Systems Expertise: Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
Integrated Management Systems Auditing: Accredited qualifications in auditing integrated management systems, ensuring the ability to assess, review, and enhance multi-framework HSE management structures (desirable).
Change & Project Management: Expertise in leading change management initiatives and executing HSE projects, ensuring effective transitions, engagement, and adoption across the organization.
Incident Investigation & Analysis: ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) certification, ensuring proficiency in root cause analysis and evidence-based incident investigation techniques (desirable).
Demonstrate high level skills in technical writing with ability to analyse and interpret complex information, synthesizing data from multiple sources to produce high-quality, well-structured written content.
Strong written and verbal communication presents information clearly and concisely and adapts communication style and content to audience.
