About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting tasks, coaching junior team members, and ensuring financial processes run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to drive improvements and contribute to key financial processes.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end deliverables and prepare cash flow statements.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement automation to streamline workflows.
- Coach junior team members, review their work, and guide them through month-end processes.
- Prepare stewardship procedures for complex entities and support leadership with internal reporting.
- Build strong relationships across teams and lead system improvements to enhance collaboration.
- Assist with internal and external audit process, including information gathering and liaising with audit team to resolve issues as they arise.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Previous experience in accounting, with a focus on cashflows, consolidations, and tax accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving systems and processes.
- Ability to coach and guide junior team members.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
