About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will support the delivery of complex client engagements spanning accounting, taxation, business performance, structuring, wealth and asset protection. You will also mentor and guide junior team members while coordinating closely with senior team members.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds.

  • Prepare and implement tax-planning strategies and initiatives.

  • Assist Managers and Partners with business performance, structuring, wealth and asset-protection engagements.

  • Coordinate with your team leader throughout the different phases of client engagements.

  • Supervise, coach and delegate work to junior team members.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce.

  • Currently studying towards, or have completed, a CA or CPA qualification.

  • Approximately three to five years’ experience in Australian public practice.

  • Exposure to large business structures and complex, diverse engagements.

  • Good understanding of taxation matters, including Division 7A, GST, FBT and SMSFs.

  • Experience supervising, coaching and delegating work to junior staff.
