The Opportunity 

The Melbourne Independent Agency team—one of the fastest‑growing parts of our business—is looking for a Senior Account Manager to strengthen and grow key client relationships. You’ll combine technical depth with commercial instinct to help our clients navigate an evolving digital advertising landscape. 

You’ll manage a portfolio of independent agency accounts, uncover new opportunities, and translate data and insights into clear, strategic recommendations. Your days will consist of troubleshooting platform challenges, shaping campaign and planning strategy, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service. 

What You'll Do 

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients 
  • Partner closely with the Trading team to grow existing portfolio and support the seamless onboarding of new customers 
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to uncover opportunities to grow current accounts 
  • Become an expert on The Trade Desk’s platform and products, providing insights and best practice recommendations to to improve campaigns 
  • Provide ongoing client training as new platform features and products emerge 
  • Work with Product Management to help define features and drive enhancements to The Trade Desk platform 
  • Create training, best practices, and sales materials  

What You Bring to the Table 

  • 6+ years of experience in digital advertising & client-facing roles 
  • Robust technical background, ideally gained within a DSP, SSP, online publisher, agency, MarTech provider or other online advertising role   
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you can manage challenging conversations with clients, feel comfortable giving feedback, and deliver outstanding customer servic 
  • Ability to transform large data sets into clear insights and recommendations  
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment 
  • A resourceful approach to solving complex client issues, even when information is incomplete or priorities shift 
  • A proven track record of growing accounts by forging a strong relationship with clients, understanding their objectives and recommending best strategies 
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and consistently meet deadlines 
  • High attention to detail & process-driven approach to delivering quality work 
  • Have a naturally curious mindset – you enjoy digging into data, understanding the ‘why’ and uncovering insights that drive action
