Senior Account Manager, ANZ
Fastly is seeking an experienced Account Manager in the region, joining our growing International Account Management team! We are hugely excited about this opportunity and we’re passionate about helping our Customers Succeed. 

You will drive high impact customer relationships, maintain account health and lead customer advocacy across Fastly’s Enterprise Customers in Australia and New Zealand, partnering with our Sales, Customer Support, Product and Technical teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with the skills, energy and confidence to work autonomously - and ultimately to define great Account Management in the region.

This position will be based in Australia; ideally in Melbourne or Sydney (working remotely)

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for maintaining and driving existing customer spend

  • Actively and consistently engage with customers to understand their business via formal and informal methods

  • Successfully collaborate with sales to drive new product adoption

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies, attaining buy-in and alignment from the customer 

  • Develop strong customer connections with executive stakeholders across multiple business units

  • Delight customers by demonstrating responsiveness and ensuring timely responses

  • Take a consultative approach to your engagements with the customer

  • Identify, qualify and close opportunities for customer growth

  • Collaborate with the product, marketing, client services and sales teams, acting as the voice of the customer within Fastly

What We're Looking For

  • At least 8 years of Enterprise account management experience

  • Ability and interest in learning and understanding new technologies and able to translate those into business benefits

  • Thrives in a multi-tasking environment and has the ability to adjust project priorities

  • Maintains high standards of clear communication internally and externally and able to tailor messaging depending on the recipient 

  • A creative problem solver who is solution focused

  • Confident and capable of working remotely and autonomously

  • Collaborative Partner: Brings ideas to the Account Management team to support learning opportunities and thrives in multi-role, collaborative environments across sales, product, marketing and customer support

  • A strong sense of curiosity to understand customer goals coupled with an ability to understand and align technical concepts

  • Thorough and demonstrable knowledge of the Account Plan building process

  • Confident negotiator with a proven track record in upselling and x-selling

Experience working with Digital Media and Retail customers would be an advantage

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field of study

Technical background highly valued

SAAS/PAAS/Cyber preferred


Work Hours: This position will require you to be available during core business hours

Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements: 

This position is a remote role and open to candidates residing in the following locations: Australia, ideally Melbourne or Sydney

This position will require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager, across ANZ and internationally
