We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager - Inside sales to manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-sized customers, delivering strong revenue outcomes while providing exceptional customer experience.
About the Role
In this role, you will take ownership of a $10M customer portfolio, managing customers with annual revenues ranging from $150K–$500K. You will focus on growing share of wallet, strengthening long-term partnerships, and ensuring customers remain profitable, engaged, and well-supported.
You will work closely with Sales Leadership, Operations, Contact Centre, and Sales Operations to deliver integrated, value-driven solutions aligned to customer needs and business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-sized customers in line with annual sales and profitability targets
- Build trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders within customer organisations
- Develop and maintain a strong “share of wallet” pipeline to drive organic growth
- Sell and promote the full suite of products and services
- Plan proactively with customers for peak and seasonal demand periods
- Conduct detailed customer profitability and cost modelling, recommending improvements where required
- Manage annual rate reviews and contract renewals in line with agreed timelines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, opportunities, tasks, and notes in Salesforce
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and close them within agreed timeframes
- Provide agreed KPI and performance reporting to customers
- Monitor customer trading, billing accuracy, and payment performance
- Actively gather competitor and market intelligence and share insights with leadership
- Collaborate closely with operations, drivers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence

- Portfolio revenue and margin targets consistently met or exceeded
- Strong customer engagement and visitation cadence maintained
- High-quality Salesforce data hygiene and reporting discipline
- Profitable customer trading within agreed margin guidelines
- Timely completion of rate reviews and contract management
- Strong retention, with lost customers and risks proactively managed and communicated
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in account management or inside sales, ideally within B2B and B2C environment
- Strong consultative selling and commercial negotiation skills
- Ability to engage confidently with decision-makers and senior stakeholders
- High-level written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong business, financial, and commercial acumen
- Excellent organisational and time management capability
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data integrity
- A customer-centric, solutions-focused approach
- Self-discipline, accountability, and professionalism
Desirable Experience
- Experience selling logistics, freight, or complex service-based solutions
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Leadership capability and the ability to influence without authority
- Adaptability and a positive “can-do” attitude in a changing environment
Additional Requirements
- Current driver’s licence and access to a registered motor vehicle
- High standard of personal presentation and professional conduct
