About the role:
This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned Senior Account Manager to join our Solenis team. Your mission is to nurture our existing food and beverage accounts and drive growth across other clients across Melbourne. Some of our clients are well known global corporates, but there is still opportunity to grow the territory further.
While F&B experience is a plus, we welcome candidates with proven- large account management skills from other industries. A background in chemistry/engineering or similar will make your experience of learning and demonstrating our plant cleaning and sanitizing protocol and equipment a breeze.
You will be responsible for:
- Account management and Customer support: provide ongoing end to end service support based on established agreements and SLA. This can include some hands-on technical checks of chemical dosing levels and calibration of equipment.
- Provide training sessions to customer staff and use of our products, ensuring safety compliance of our products
- Monitor chemical stock at each customer site, ordering new stock in time with order and processing timelines
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvements and introduction of new products or technologies to support clients with their sustainability initiatives
- Business Development & Growth – Conduct business reviews, and acquire new clients
- Develop competitive commercial proposals
- Present product benefits and convert prospective clients into long term partnerships
What you need to be successful
- A minimum 5 years’ experience with proven experience managing large corporate accounts
- A degree or diploma in a science discipline, such as chemical engineering, chemistry or mechanical engineering
- First class business acumen and analytical skills
- Solid presentation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- A self-starter who thrives working independently and potentially taking a leadership role
- The ability to collaborate cross functionally
