Summary

As the SDR Manager, you will lead and scale our outbound SDR function across the APAC region, with an initial focus on Australia. You will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and developing a high-performing SDR team while driving predictable pipeline generation for our Account Executive organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who has successfully built outbound teams, established prospecting best practices, and developed SDRs from hiring through ramp and ongoing performance management. You will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Recruiting and Revenue Leadership to continuously improve outbound performance, optimise processes, and build a scalable sales development organisation.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Team Hiring & Development: Partner closely with Recruiting to attract, interview, hire and successfully onboard top SDR talent. Develop structured onboarding and ramp programmes that enable new hires to become productive quickly while creating clear coaching plans and career progression opportunities.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Lead, coach and inspire an outbound SDR team to consistently exceed pipeline generation targets. Conduct regular one-to-ones, call coaching, performance reviews and ongoing development sessions to build a high-performing sales culture.
  • Outbound Strategy & Prospecting Excellence: Own the outbound prospecting strategy across the team. Build repeatable training programmes that enable SDRs to continuously improve their outbound performance. Develop and continuously improve:

  1. outbound playbooks
  2. call coaching
  3. messaging and positioning
  4. email sequences
  5. objection handling
  6. territory planning
  7. account prioritisation
  8. list building strategies
  9. prospecting best practices
  • Performance Management: Use data to identify coaching opportunities, optimise performance and report insights to Sales Leadership. Monitor individual and team KPIs including:

  1. activity metrics
  2. connect rates
  3. meeting conversion rates
  4. pipeline generation
  5. quota attainment
  6. ramp progression
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Recruiting and Product to improve lead quality, outbound effectiveness and handoff processes between SDRs and Account Executives.

Fully Remote: You can work fully remote within Australia in this position, provided you have eligible working rights.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience managing an outbound SDR team in a B2B SaaS environment. Demonstrated success hiring, onboarding, ramping and developing SDRs. Experience leading remote or distributed teams, preferably across APAC or multiple time zones.
  • Sales Knowledge: Strong understanding of outbound sales methodologies and modern prospecting techniques. At least 2 years of experience selling into SMB customers. Proven ability to build predictable outbound pipeline.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience coaching SDRs through every stage of their development. Strong hiring and interviewing experience. Experience creating onboarding programmes and sales training.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM tools, particularly HubSpot, and the ability to utilize data to optimize performance and processes.
  • Prospecting Expertise: Proven expertise in developing and optimizing outbound prospecting strategies, including cold calling, email prospecting, LinkedIn outreach, territory planning, account prioritisation, list building, sequencing, connect rate optimisation, and the use of outbound performance metrics and forecasting to drive team success.
  • Attributes: A results-driven mentality, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Background managing SDR teams supporting the APAC market, particularly Australia.
  • Exposure to fast-growing SaaS environments.
  • Success leading remote-first or distributed sales teams.
