Job DescriptionOur Talent Network provides opportunities for undergraduate and post-graduate students at all year levels to work with Scyne through casual opportunities. Structured around your availabilities, it's a flexible work arrangement that works for you.
We are seeking a creative and motivated university student to join our team as a Casual Social Media Coordinator. This role will work closely with the Marketing Lead to develop and publish engaging content across our social media channels. The focus will be on creating content that aligns with thought leadership initiatives and campaign objectives, helping us build brand awareness and community engagement. This role can be based in Melbourne or Canberra
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing Lead to plan and execute social media content calendars.
- Create engaging, visually appealing, and on-brand content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X (Twitter).
- Monitor social media trends and suggest innovative ideas to enhance engagement.
- Assist in scheduling posts and tracking performance metrics.
- Ensure all content aligns with campaign goals and organisational tone.
Required Skills & Qualities:
- Creativity: Ability to generate fresh, engaging ideas tailored to different social platforms.
- Strong Communication Skills: Clear writing and visual storytelling skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with major social media platforms and basic analytics tools.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and consistency in content.
- Time Management: Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and responding to emerging trends
To be successful in this casual opportunity
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Currently enrolled in a university degree (Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field preferred).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Previous experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional) is desirable
- Able to work 2-3 days a week
