About the role .
Play a key role in shaping the future of McCain ANZ by driving cost transformation without compromising quality, customer expectations, or brand integrity. As the SCA Project Manager, you'll lead high-impact initiatives that deliver sustainable cost advantage across products, processes, and ways of working.
This is an 18-month fixed term contract.
What you'll be doing.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of cost optimisation and value engineering projects
  • Manage a portfolio of initiatives delivering against savings and performance targets
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, risks, and dependencies
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Commercial teams
  • Drive governance processes including Stage & Gate forums and leadership updates
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to maintain momentum
  • Support business case development and track financial outcomes
  • Create clear, compelling communication to align stakeholders and drive decisions
  • Champion continuous improvement in project tools, templates, and delivery methods

What you'll need to be successful.
  • 4-5+ years' experience in project management, ideally within a Stage & Gate environment
  • Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or complex matrix organisations (preferred)
  • Exposure to cost optimisation, value engineering, or continuous improvement (advantageous)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across multiple functions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and delivery discipline
  • Confident communicator, able to present insights and recommendations clearly
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This team focuses on delivering sustainable growth and value through innovation, optimisation, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll work closely with a diverse set of stakeholders across the business, helping translate strategic opportunities into executable outcomes.
