Eightcap is a dynamic online trading provider committed to delivering exceptional trading tools and professional insights that empower smarter trading decisions. Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with a global footprint across the UK, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and the Bahamas, we blend the agility of a fintech innovator with the stability of a regulated financial institution.
In this pivotal role, you will lead all Salesforce development needs at Eightcap. We need a specialist who can transform our Salesforce instance into an even more powerful asset through constant innovation and enhancement. You will be responsible for deploying high-quality code that not only solves immediate problems but also supports our broader organisational goals.
We are looking for a technical lead to take full ownership of our programmatic roadmap. Partnering closely with our Salesforce Administrator, you will translate stakeholder needs into technical specifications, validate architectural proposals, and drive the end-to-end delivery of custom solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Salesforce Administrator to validate business requirements and considerations (security, scalability, limits).
- Developing Apex (classes and triggers) and Visualforce (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce functionality.
- Building custom user interfaces, including Visualforce pages, Lightning pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Utilising Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used across the organisation.
- Adhering to Salesforce best practices, maintaining code documentation, and writing/maintaining test classes for all custom development.
- Taking ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new applications or updates to existing code.
- Integrating and maintaining business applications within Salesforce, such as telephony (e.g., Natterbox or Amazon Connect).
- Partnering with the Engineering team to ensure seamless integration across other business systems.
- Overseeing core Salesforce operations and managing BAU (Business As Unusual) workstreams to ensure platform stability.
- Contributing to ad-hoc projects and strategic initiatives based on business needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Salesforce development experience with deep knowledge of Sales, Service, and Data 360 Clouds.
- Advanced proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Java, supported by a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Active Salesforce Platform Developer I and Administrator credentials.
- Mastery of VS Code, SLDS, and the full Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to handle large-scale datasets (bulkification) and translate complex technical specs into clean, scalable code.
- A passion for refactoring and continuous improvement. You don't just maintain; you optimise.
- Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, or Agentforce Specialist.
- Experience with SQL, .NET, C++, or SOAP web services would be advantageous.
- Ideally, you will be actively engaged within the Salesforce community.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related professional qualification.
