This role is aligned to Sentral, a proven web-based software solution that seamlessly manages school administration, student data and so much more. About the role 

Are you passionate about driving growth and securing new business? As a Sales Executive at Sentral, you will focus on expanding our reach in the independent and government school sector by generating new revenue and acquiring new clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you'll work closely with a supportive and collaborative team, taking ownership of the end-to-end sales process. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively drive new business, expand the customer base, and achieve revenue targets;
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with senior stakeholders in enterprise, medium, and large-sized schools;
  • Lead client presentations, including discovery sessions, product demonstrations, proposals, and tender engagements;
  • Identify customer needs and craft compelling business cases to address their pain points;
  • Conduct prospect research to build a robust sales pipeline;
  • Develop and implement scalable sales processes from prospecting to contract execution;
  • Support hiring, training, and mentoring of future Sales Executives as the company grows;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation for new clients;
  • Utilise Salesforce data to manage sales activity and achieve revenue goals;
  • Provide valuable feedback to product teams, shaping future developments;
  • Represent the Sentral brand positively across multiple markets.

About you 

You are a confident, commercially minded professional with a proven passion for sales and relationship-building. With a natural ability to engage and build rapport, you excel at leading conversations and delivering tailored solutions to clients.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, particularly in new business acquisition;
  • Exceptional consultation, presentation, and negotiation skills across all stakeholder levels;
  • A passion for technology and experience in SaaS, CRM solutions, FinTech, or education sectors;
  • Prior experience as a teacher or within the education industry (advantageous);
  • Strong time management skills and a keen attention to detail;
  • A self-motivated, ambitious approach with a collaborative mindset;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Proficiency in web-based systems, MS Office Suite, Google Apps, and Salesforce;
  • A valid Australian driver’s licence, reliable car, and willingness to travel.

  • Full work rights in Australia  
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check  
  • Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check  

Salary and location

  • Depending on experience the salary range for this role is $120, 000 - $140, 000 base + superannuation + commission.
  • We are open to candidates either based in Melbourne or Brisbane.
