Sales & Account Manager, Research Review Australia (RRAU)

Location: Sydney / Melbourne

Employment Type: Full-time

Research Review Australia (an IQVIA company) is one of Australia's leading independent medical education and healthcare communications providers. Trusted by healthcare professionals across a wide range of specialties, RRAU delivers high-quality educational content, clinical updates, digital engagement opportunities, and targeted communications that connect healthcare organisations with engaged professional audiences.

Following a recent acquisition and investment in growth, we are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Account Manager to help expand our partnerships across the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, medical device, and broader healthcare sectors.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created business development role focused on driving revenue growth through new client acquisition, strategic account expansion, and the commercialisation of RRAU's growing portfolio of educational and digital assets.

You will work closely with healthcare industry stakeholders to identify sponsorship, advertising, educational partnership, and engagement opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to help shape the next phase of growth for a well-established healthcare media and education platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new sponsorship, advertising, and educational partnership opportunities across the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, medical device, and related healthcare sectors.
  • Analyse historical client engagement and market opportunities to identify gaps in customer coverage and growth potential.
  • Build relationships with marketing, brand, medical affairs, and commercial leaders across target organisations.
  • Develop strategic account plans to expand engagement within existing client organisations and increase share of wallet.
  • Identify opportunities associated with new product launches, PBS-listed products, and brands progressing through the PBAC process.
  • Leverage market intelligence, industry publications, competitor activity, and customer insights to generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with New Zealand-based colleagues and sponsor contacts to identify and connect with key Australian stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare industry influencers to enhance market awareness and generate referrals.
  • Position RRAU's capabilities and value proposition against competing healthcare media, education, and engagement platforms.
  • Identify opportunities within emerging and underpenetrated therapeutic areas, audience segments, and adjacent healthcare sectors.
  • Support the commercialisation of new products, content channels, and audience offerings as they are launched through the evolving RRAU platform.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
