A vacancy for a Design Specialist for Engineering in-service solutions has arisen within Airbus Operations in Getafe.
Who is the 1SAT1 RFE Daily Repair Team?
The RFE repair team in Getafe, thanks to the support of our various Repair Centers in North America, India and China, ensures, for the entire Airbus fleet, a 24/7 support to Airlines requesting repair solutions not covered by the Structural Repair Manual (SRM).
The Daily Repairs are related to the day to day operations of our customers and are activities in the very short term (usually a few hours to give an answer and send approval documents).

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Design and validation of structural components, assemblies and repair solutions that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate design tools
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders (suppliers and customers).
Provide certification documents for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures.
Provide improvement, harmonization proposals in order to a continuous improvement focused on the customer in an agile way.

Education:Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
Experience: At least 5 years in Structural Design Engineering
Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics, new business and in a networking mode.
Languages: Advanced level in English.
Technical knowledge: Sound knowledge of the aerospace Design principles and tools (CATIA, PLM, SOLINGS, etc)
