Job Description: RAN E2E Engineer
About this Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive RAN Engineer with strong expertise in GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and NR (5G) technologies. The ideal candidate should possess excellent troubleshooting skills across all radio technologies, a deep understanding of network behaviors, and the ability to support operational teams by analyzing network changes, KPIs, and traces.
What you will do:
• Perform end-to-end RAN troubleshooting for GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR technologies to resolve network issues efficiently.• Analyze and interpret network traces, logs, and signaling flows to identify root causes and propose solutions.• Monitor and evaluate network KPIs, ensuring performance levels meet or exceed defined thresholds.• Review and assess network changes/CRs, understanding their impact on different technologies and ensuring smooth implementation.• Assist operations and cross functional teams during network outages, degradations, or performance anomalies.• Provide technical insights during incident management and support post incident analysis activities.• Collaborate with planning, optimization, and deployment teams to improve overall network performance and stability.• Prepare and maintain documentation related to network issues, analysis, and improvements.
The Skills you bring:
• Strong communication skills• Strong technical knowledge of GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G NR radio access technologies.• Hands-on experience with RAN troubleshooting, log/trace analysis, and performance investigations.• Good understanding of network KPIs, counters, drive test metrics, and optimization principles.• Ability to understand and evaluate network configuration changes (CRs) and their operational impact.• Familiarity with tools such as:
o Trace tools (e.g., CTR, Tektronix, TEMS Investigation)
o OSS/PM tools for KPI analysis• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Ability to work effectively under pressure and support teams during critical issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer Science or equivalent.• Experience with Ericsson environments.• Knowledge of scripting or automation (Python/Shell) is an added advantage.
