Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists to join KordaMentha Implementation Services as a Quality Assurance Analyst for Financial Crime Operations on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. You will be part of the KordaMentha team responsible for the reviewing and assuring the quality of AML/CTF investigations, including Transaction Monitoring (TM), Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD), customer risk assessments, complex financial crime investigations, as well as general operational support.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience conducting or quality assuring TM and ECDD investigations, ideally within banking, payments, fintech or cryptocurrency environments. 

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Perform quality checks on activities such as KYC, TM, ECDD etc., providing key insights to the QA Manager
  • Identifying improvement opportunities in processes and procedures and provide guidance to stakeholders
  • Assist QA Manager to identify, create and deliver training themes from QA output results
  • Coaching and feedback to Analysts regarding QA output results
  • Act as trusted SME for Analysts, assisting with remediating QA issues/breaches
  • Assist Managers and team leads with stakeholder management related to QA results
  • Reporting and analysing data

You will be working with a team of subject matter experts and will undergo our comprehensive training program, including potential opportunities to complete formal AML/CTF qualifications.

Qualifications

We are looking for Quality Assurance Analysts with the following experience:

  • 2 – 3+ years’ experience in AML/CTF, preferably in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance role.
  • Strong understanding, knowledge, and application of AML/CTF regulations.
  • Knowledge across multiple AML/CTF disciplines, in particular ECDD, Transaction Monitoring, and/or KYC. 
  • Experience in cryptocurrency, fintech, payments or other high-volume regulated environments would be highly regarded. 
  • Understanding of, and experience in, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and/or Risk Frameworks.
  • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data and draw and communicate conclusions.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet agreed timelines.
  • Ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, with a strong client focus.
  • Effective relationship building.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A passion for developing and coaching a team of Analysts.
