Lead definition, planning, budgeting, execution and reporting for projects. Coordinate resources and vendors, track costs and risks, measure performance, and ensure delivery on time, scope and budget using PM best practices and tools.
Duties will include:
- Lead in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility.
- Develop comprehensive project plans including project schedule, resource plan, communication plan, quality plan.
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Perform all day-to-day coordination of resources and activities, as part of the project execution.
- Monitor progress and bring adjustments as needed.
- Manage the project team to foster a strong and collaborative group focused on successfully completing the project.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify, manage and monitor projects risks.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for the steering committees and escalate issues impacting on the projects.
- Utilise industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project life-cycle.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
Technical and behavioural skills:
- Excellent mastery of Project Management
- Proficient with Project Management tools like Microsoft Project
- Very good command of Microsoft Office tools
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate to all levels in the organisation
- A resilient go-getter able to stay focused and solve projects related challenges
- Analytical and logical mindset
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a structured and organised manner
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in an IT related field
- A practitioner-level certification in project management
- A post-graduate degree in a management related field would constitute an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in a Project Manager role
