Job Description:

The opportunity:

In this position, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of service projects—covering both commercial and technical aspects—while ensuring that all operations comply with company protocols, contractual obligations, safety regulations, as well as financial and scheduling objectives.

How you will make an impact:

  • You will lead service project execution in alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices, ensure strong oversight, effective resource use, and consistent project progress.

  • You will oversee all technical and commercial aspects of service projects, including invoicing, cost management, expenses, and cash flow, proactively identify risks and opportunities, ensure lessons learned are documented and shared.

  • You will ensure each project is formally and contractually closed out, and that completion is acknowledged and accepted by the customer, apply contract and claims management principles throughout the project lifecycle in line with company policies and commitments.

  • You will work closely with internal and external suppliers to secure required materials, services, and equipment, act as the primary interface for customers and manage any project‑related escalations with professionalism and care and develop trusted relationships with internal teams and external partners, maintaining clear communication at every stage.

  • You will ensure all project activities comply with Hitachi Energy’s HSE policies, evaluate equipment drawings, project schedules, HSE documentation, transmittals, reports, and all related technical materials, partner with execution teams and manufacturing facilities to support project delivery.

  • You will do local and occasional overseas travel will be required, demonstrate our core values of safety and integrity—taking responsibility for your actions while supporting colleagues and the business.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing service projects.

  • Experience with transformer service projects (highly regarded).

  • Working knowledge of SAP (order booking, invoicing, etc.).

  • Strong communication skills, ownership mindset, and demonstrated leadership capability.
