Job DescriptionTOMRA Collection Australia are seeking a Project Manager who loves bringing big ideas to life! Based in our St Leonard's Head Office, you’ll play a key role in our PMO Team by supporting cross‑functional projects, aid product development, and helping turn pilot programs into nationwide rollouts.
In this role, you’ll be the glue that connects teams, keeps plans on track, and ensuring everything lands safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders, map out integrated program plans, and guide delivery from start to finish.
Please note this role is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Some other duties our Project Managers perform include:
- Plan & deliver cross functional projects: Lead end to end delivery of infrastructure points across multiple states
- Program development & scheduling: Build integrated master schedules and rollout waves, maintaining critical path, dependencies, and resource plans; publish dashboards and program status to stakeholders.
- Leads the mapping and documentation of end-to-end project processes and workflows
- National rollouts: Orchestrate phased rollouts (pilot → scale), including site readiness, mobilisation, Go Live planning, and lessons learned for subsequent waves.
- Minor works & site readiness: Interpret drawings/scope, align site works with product requirements, coordinate contractors, permits and approvals, and ensure handover documentation is complete.
- Stakeholder engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations, manage change, and resolve issues effectively & quickly whilst minimising risks to the project.
- Risk, issues & change control: Manage risks and issues, maintain clear tracking, and run change control to protect scope, budget, safety, and timelines.
- Budget & commercial management: Support cost estimating and forecasting; track actuals vs. budget; manage contractor claims/variations in line with contract requirements.
- Governance & reporting: Manage project governance activities, provide clear program updates, and escalate exceptions with defined recovery plans.
- Ensure all products and installations comply with Australian Standards and the NCC.
- Lead a safety-first culture; ensure compliance with OH&S/SafeWork guidelines and internal standards throughout planning and delivery.
What makes a good Project Manager at TOMRA:
- Demonstrated experience delivering cross functional construction adjacent or infrastructure/product rollout projects with national scope.
- Proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite; Experience with portfolio or work management tools.
- NSW Drivers License
- Construction White Card
- Project Management Qualification
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; comfortable liaising across executive, frontline, and external partners.
- High personal drive, resilience, and adaptability; thrives in a high functioning, fastmoving environment.
- Experience using Auto CAD (Desirable)
