At Lineage, we're transforming the global food supply chain. As the world's largest temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, we play a critical role in helping food producers, manufacturers and retailers move products safely and efficiently from origin to destination.

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong logistics, warehousing or supply chain background to lead strategic projects across our Australian network.

This is not an IT Project Manager role.

We're looking for someone who understands warehouse operations, supply chain workflows, logistics infrastructure and operational improvement initiatives and can translate that knowledge into projects that improve asset performance, unlock capacity, enhance customer outcomes and support business growth.

Why this role matters

Our facilities are at the heart of our customers' supply chains.

As Project Manager, you'll partner with operational leaders, senior stakeholders and customers to identify opportunities, assess project viability and deliver initiatives that improve how our cold storage assets operate and perform.

From warehouse optimisation and process improvement projects through to network capability enhancements and customer growth initiatives, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our operations.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead multiple strategic projects across our warehousing and logistics network

  • Identify and assess opportunities to improve asset performance, operational efficiency and customer outcomes

  • Develop business cases, project plans, timelines, governance frameworks and project reporting

  • Partner with Site Managers and operational leaders to understand operational challenges and improvement opportunities

  • Conduct project feasibility and viability assessments, considering operational, commercial and supply chain impacts

  • Manage project risks, budgets, milestones and stakeholder expectations

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between operations, engineering, commercial and support teams

  • Provide regular project updates to senior leadership

  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Proven experience managing projects within warehousing, logistics, supply chain, transport, cold storage, manufacturing or industrial operations
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes and supply chain workflows
  • Experience evaluating operational improvement opportunities and developing business cases
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with the ability to translate operational needs into deliverable projects
Highly regarded
  • Experience within cold storage, 3PL, transport or distribution environments
  • Capital works, infrastructure or operational improvement project experience
  • Formal Project Management qualifications
The Opportunity

At Lineage, we're on a mission to transform the food supply chain and eliminate waste while helping feed the world.

You'll join a collaborative team where your expertise will directly influence operational performance, customer growth and strategic decision-making across our Australian business.

  • Competitive salary package

  • Annual incentive opportunity

  • Career development within a global industry leader

  • Employee Assistance Program

  • Paid volunteer leave

  • Employee benefits and retail discounts

  • A values-driven culture focused on Safety, Trust, Respect, Innovation and Growth

Why Lineage?

Lineage is more than just a cold storage logistics business. We’re focused on being a vibrant, innovative and progressive employer where all our teams work safely, harmoniously and efficiently toward a common purpose - transforming the food supply chain to eliminate waste and help feed the world.

Lineage is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic work environment and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
