Job Description

Turner & Townsend will give you the opportunity to work with world class clients on cutting edge projects and to build a successful career with a company that will offer the highest levels of support at every stage.

We work on projects of all sizes from one-off developments to mega-programmes, from planning the future development across Real Estate projects to site based construction of individual projects, while helping the largest companies in the world. We cover everything from leading teams, planning works, tracking progress and business case delivery to bringing assets into use. 

In a Project Management role, you will have knowledge in:

  • Managing larger multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex projects and programs.
  • Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion.
  • Proactively managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations.
  • Responsible for preparation of project management plans, programs, budgets and other key project deliverables.
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Managing project timelines, risks and reporting.
  • Managing internal project administration including invoicing, variations, subconsultant management and contract risk.

Qualifications

  • Currently in Townsville or looking to relocated with full Australian Working Rights. 
  • A recognised Degree qualification relating to a technical field: Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or Architecture
  • Experience in government, hospitals/health, commercial or education projects. 
  • Project management experience delivering highly complex and technical projects
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients
