What will you be doing?

As a Business Analyst at capSpire, your role will provide you with considerable challenges, variety and development opportunities in a client-facing environment. You will work as part of a core team delivering exciting and complex programmes for our clients such as power & gas utilities, oil majors, and commodity trading houses. You will be responsible for identifying and documenting business requirements and working in partnership with technical teams to determine feasible solution options. You will drive the requirement discovery journey in partnership with the client and help to facilitate requirement workshops and solution design sessions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performing requirements analysis and clearly documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports and documentation.
  • Working closely with Business stakeholders, IT and Project Management.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Performing or coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures.
  • Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Capturing As-Is business processes and determining appropriate To-Be processes with close business and IT involvement.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest energy industry and IT advancements to help determine better solutions for our clients.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of Business Analysis Experience, preferably with Commodity or Energy Trading industry experience.
  • Experience working in the Energy industry.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Some experience in working with ETRM systems.
  • Technical skills, like SQL, are advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar processing modelling tool.
  • Experience in the Energy Trading industry.
  • Experience working on large implementations or transformation projects/programs.
  • Experience working with the Allegro or Endur ETRM Platforms.

Travel & Work Requirements

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time to client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
