Just imagine a future with us...

Aurecon is a design, engineering and advisory company, but not as you know it!

Drawing on our deep pool of technical and advisory expertise, we co-create innovative solutions with our clients to some of the world's most complex challenges. And through a range of unique creative processes and skills, we work to re-imagine, shape and design a better future.

What will you do?

Are you ready to contribute to nation-shaping infrastructure projects, grow your career, and work with some of the most experienced professionals in the industry?

Aurecon’s Program Performance team is experiencing significant growth across Australia, and we’re looking for proactive Project Managers to join our expanding national team. With opportunities available across Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and Brisbane, this is your chance to be part of high-impact projects that make a real difference — while building your career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

You’ll work on a diverse range of infrastructure projects across Defence, Government, Social Infrastructure, and Construction. Our team of experts will support your professional development, helping you broaden your skills across various markets, sectors, and project stages.

Here are the key things you will do:

  • As a Project Manager, you’ll build strong client partnerships and co-create innovative, tailored solutions to meet their evolving challenges. You will:
  • Lead and manage both design and construction schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines and specifications
  • Deliver projects from concept through to handover, managing scope, risk, financials, and reporting
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle
  • Collaborate with our Regional Leads and Program Director to report on project progress and milestones

What are we looking for from you?

At Aurecon, we believe diversity of experience brings diverse thinking. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who can demonstrate strong project management experience and a passion for infrastructure. Ideally, you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a project management role
  • Experience working across complex stakeholder environments and managing competing priorities
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and presentation skills
  • The ability to assess contractor documentation, including payment and variation claims and extensions of time (EoTs)
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or experience.
  • Be an Australian Citizen and eligible for security clearance as determined by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).

Our Aurecon Attributes describe the types of people we bring together for our clients. We don't expect you to have all eight of the attributes, but one that is unique to you.
Diversity is at the core of everything we do. We work together to create a culture based on respect, trust, and inclusiveness. Our differences are what fuel our creativity.
Finally, we value that each of our team members brings something different to Aurecon. We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
