About the role
As a key member of our dynamic in-house media team, you will lead Bunnings' Programmatic strategy, overseeing the execution, optimization, and innovation of Video, Display, Audio & Programmatic OOH campaigns. Reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, you will shape our evolving approach to programmatic media, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer lifecycle while maintaining Bunnings’ brand values, core pillars, and tone of voice.
You will be responsible for quarterly rate negotiations, securing advantageous positions with key media partners to drive maximum value. Collaboration will be central to your success, working closely with the Digital and Marketing Performance team to integrate biddable media marketing strategies that drive campaign effectiveness, audience engagement, and measurable business growth.
What's involved:
Planning & creation of Programmatic campaigns across Retail, Trade, Private Label and more.
Management of the Programmatic team in supporting on the implementation and ongoing management of biddable media campaigns
Negotiation of rate position with digital media partners for Quarterly planning
Managing campaign set ups and optimisations across various platforms
Managing and optimise campaigns to harmonise with search and social channels to deliver optimal campaign performance, ROI and user experience
Working with the wider digital marketing & analytics team to design and implement seamless digital experiences for customers across paid and owned channel
Ensuring brand safety, data compliance, and best practices across all programmatic campaigns
Building relationships with digital publishers, DSPs, technology vendors, and data partners to foster innovation
Keep up to date with top key industry trends
Who we’re looking for:
We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and results-driven leader with a passion for programmatic media and digital marketing. You thrive on data-driven decision-making, enjoy collaborating across teams, and can effectively negotiate with media partners to drive impact.
Your ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, optimize campaigns, and align media strategies with broader business objectives will be essential. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—will help foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution and innovation across the programmatic landscape.
You’ll need:
Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a relevant field.
4-6 years' experience in Biddable Media / Programmatic strategy and campaign execution.
An understanding of customer journey marketing, including CRM and personalisation.
Experience in the retail industry is preferred
Knowledge of ACCC, NZCC, Fair Trading & Consumer Legislation
