The OpportunityBoeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an Prodution Engineering Manager to join the MQ-28 Ghost Bat Production Facility currently being built at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

What you'll get to do:
  • Lead the team to support factory fit-out to ensure operational readiness.
  • Lead the team in the development of factory operational schedule for optimized flow of product and assignment of resources.
  • Lead the engineering team to conduct production problem solving, process improvement and change management, lean production system design and implementation, production planning/metrics and equipment/facilities support.
  • Lead the engineering team reviewing and dispositioning repairs to non-conforming parts.
  • Lead the team to apply sound judgment and make technical decisions based on appropriate production engineering requirements, processes, methods and procedures.
  • Work closely with manufacturing management to ensure safe operations and quality production.
  • Foster longer term initiatives to continuously improve staff skills and competencies.

Who we're looking for:
  • Must hold Tertiary Qualification in engineering or equivalent technical experience in an aerospace/mechanical discipline.
  • Previous experience in a leadership and management role in a production environment.
  • Strong knowledge/experience in Manufacturing including Safety and Lean principals is essential.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with other managers and team members.
  • Must be based at Wellcamp with willingness to travel to suppliers and Boeing sites across Australia
