Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Production Draftsperson to join our Drafting team based in Derrimut.
The OpportunityAs a Senior Production Draftsperson, you’ll play a key role in reviewing, preparing and amending high quality construction drawings across our volume residential projects.
Working closely with our Drafting, Estimating, Construction, Customer Experience and Procurement teams, you’ll ensure documentation is accurate, construction ready and compliant with the National Construction Code, Victorian ResCode, Building Regulations and relevant Australian Standards.
This role would suit an experienced residential draftsperson who has exceptional attention to detail, enjoys the technical and quality assurance side of drafting and can confidently review documentation before it progresses to construction.
What You’ll Do, Review and check construction drawings for accuracy, compliance and completeness
, Prepare and process drafting amendments and alterations as required
, Produce and amend detailed working drawings using AutoCAD, with Revit experience advantageous
, Maintain drafting checklists and quality assurance processes
, Ensure documentation complies with the NCC, Victorian ResCode, Building Regulations, Australian Standards and SLHC requirements
, Identify and resolve drafting and documentation issues before they impact construction
, Work closely with Sales, Estimating, Construction and Drafting teams
, Liaise with external consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders as required
, Minimise drafting related rework, variations and RFIs through accurate documentation
, Maintain current knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements
, Meet agreed drafting timeframes and productivity targets while maintaining a high standard of quality
We’re looking for someone with:
, A qualification in Building Design, Drafting or Architecture
, A minimum of 3 years’ experience in volume residential construction in Victoria
, Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code and Victorian ResCode and Building Regulations
, Strong understanding of SLHC requirements and relevant Australian Standards
, Proficiency in AutoCAD
, Revit experience will be advantageous
, Strong ability to review and check construction drawings and drafting documentation
, Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
, Excellent organisation and time management skills
, Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
