As part of our Land business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We are very proud of everything we do in support of both the Bushmaster and Hawkei platforms as we all work together towards our purpose.

Come join our growing Quality team as a Program Quality Improvement Manager — deliver independent Quality advice, an accurate view of performance, and reduced quality risk as our site enters a new phase of growth.

You'll be the trusted advisor driving practical, measurable Right First Time performance across the program.

Working at our Melbourne CBD office, on Wurundjeri Land, your responsibilities are:

  • Champion what quality protects: reputation, trust, and competitive edge

  • Shape quality culture and leadership mindsets across your scope through coaching and capability-building, not just policy

  • Assure products, services and process changes meet customer and system standards

  • Flag risk early and use veto when it genuinely matters

  • Own customer feedback through to real corrective action

  • Keep our management system sharp and audit-ready (ISO 9001, AS9110)

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:

  • A track record of shifting how a team works, not just what it documents

  • The confidence to challenge assumptions and the judgment to know when it matters

  • Real depth in ISO 9001 or Lean Six Sigma — and the ability to turn either into something people act on, not just acknowledge

  • An engineering or related technical background

As part of our Commitment, we offer:

  • Competitive remuneration + Super + Bonus + Medical Insurance

  • ThalesFlex – Hybrid work environment

  • Support to Defence reservists

  • Veterans leave

  • Fitness Passport Discount – access to a network of gyms across AUS

  • Employee discounts with a number of affiliates (travel, car hire, technical, medical insurance)

  • Modernised Paid Parental Leave

  • Novated lease options

  • Family support through our partnership with Parents at Work

  • Personal and professional training opportunities

  • Sonder – wellbeing and support partner

  • Access to a network of the best people (a Nobel Prize winner on our staff list!)

  • And much more!

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
