A key role in the Product team, your primary responsibility will be to define and develop clear product value propositions and take ownership of the positioning and branding of all products in Wealth Management APAC. You’ll do this by working directly with the Wealth Management Product teams to understand what they’re working on and why (the roadmap), how we expect those initiatives to help our clients (the offer and the value we hope to deliver), and how we should be communicating the value of these products in the most compelling way (how we go to market).

In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will have an understanding of how clients and competitors are changing across markets and work with the business to ascertain how we respond via the product proposition. You will identify future opportunities to deliver differentiated value and work with Product and Communications & Marketing teams to ensure Iress is in great shape to achieve the relevant commercial targets aligned to each product.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with

Product Discovery - Working with product leaders/managers and developers to ascertain and extend a deep understanding of Iress product features, customer problems, and pain points that our existing products (and near-term releases) solve.

Product Value Proposition Development - Own and develop product positioning, compelling value propositions, and messaging for existing, new product features. 

Collaboration - Working closely with the marketing team to continually build out their product knowledge and provide them with the insights, positioning, messaging, and product content they need to succeed, as well as developing relationships with the Product and Commercial teams, to help develop go-to market strategies. 

Communications - Be the key contact point and product marketing champion for all product marketing related queries across internal stakeholders including product teams, sales teams, communications and marketing teams. 

Relationship management - Inspire, excite, and energise your team, commercial and product teams to win by digging up and sharing customer, market, and competitor insights. 

What you will bring

  • Prior experience in product management, digital or product marketing preferably in the Wealth Management industry.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Business, Commerce or Product.

  • A love of storytelling and influential communications—ability to speak/translate product to customer, and customer to product.

  • Blend of hands-on operational and strategic experience launching new products and features. Experience across a wide range of marketing and communications channels (in product/app, email, website, video, sales collateral). 

  • Authenticity, diplomacy, drive, and resilience. 

  • Systems thinking approach—and ability to use learnings and apply them broadly for the benefit of the broader team/organisation.

  • Leadership experience in a product marketing/strategic marketing/consulting role in a global business.

  • The ability to handle changing priorities and lead through ambiguity.

  • Ability to quickly build trusted and effective relationships across the business. 

  • Ownership and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
