The Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategic performance of the product portfolio through in-depth commercial and market analysis. Supporting the Commercial Director, this role determines the optimal product mix, growth opportunities, and initiatives to enhance profitability. The Product Manager manages key supplier relationships to ensure alignment on objectives and actively tracks sales and demand performance to deliver on revenue, margin, and working capital targets.  A critical partner to the sales team, the role provides actionable insights and technical support to maximise customer value. Working closely with the Commercial Director, the Products Manager also leads portfolio development through product launches, enhancement, or rationalization, ensuring alignment with business strategy and evolving market demands.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships through regular engagement and analyzing their business strategies and objectives

  • Manage pricing, margin performance and cost optimisation for assigned product lines and communicate pricing guidelines to commercial teams.

  • Lead supplier negotiations to secure competitive purchase terms and strengthen commercial alignment

  • Create and execute tailored marketing plans for key suppliers based on market segment, product, and customer needs.

  • Provide technical and commercial support to sales teams by synthesizing and sharing key supplier information and product data.

  • Design and implement effective go-to-market strategies for new products to maximise sales effectiveness.  Simplifying product messaging to align with customer needs and improve sales outcomes

  • Lead the onboarding of new supplier portfolios onto Azelis’s MRP system

  • Track customer visits and reports and collaborate with sales teams to drive project follow-through. Monitor the project pipeline, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions or cut-off points.

  • Proactively use BI and CRM tools to support decision-making and for reporting to key suppliers

  • Oversee and enforce payment conditions.

  • Maintain strong focus on inventory control and forecasting, optimizing stock levels to meet market demand.

  • Leverage and manage Azelis and customer portals to streamline communication, planning and new business development
