The Product & Investing Solutions (P&IS) Crew is the engine that drives the end-to-end design and management of the CommSec’s product portfolio (Equities, Margin Lending, Cash and Derivatives). We manage, develop and implement new products, features and services to enable CommSec’s purpose to empower more Australians to grow their wealth.

Do Work That Matters

As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Product Chapter and work with the P&IS Crew’s Customer Remediation and Product Fulfilment squad. You will partner with the Product Owner to lead strategic initiatives, deliver on our roadmap, address issues and incidents, build a culture of continuous improvement and enable continued compliance with regulatory obligations. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver customer focused outcomes through risk optimisation and product fulfilment. You will also be responsible for supporting product initiatives across the P&IS Crew, managing and executing remediation programs efficiently, accurately and provide a fair outcome for our customers.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Turn Strategy into Reality: Supporting the Product Owner to help bring the product strategy to life. Planning and managing initiatives across the squad to deliver on customer and business outcomes
  • Customer Remediation: Implement and lead remediation programs and projects, ensuring they are delivered in a timely and effective manner for our customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring product compliance with regulatory obligations and relevant Group Policies and Standards, while delivering for our customer needs. This includes proactively monitoring the risk and control environment to identify, mitigate, and resolve issues and incidents.
  • Responsible for leading and delivering on product initiatives, understanding the needs of our customers including pain points to drive change and deliver customer and business outcomes.
  • Manage and monitor change to continuously improve the product offering and processes to facilitate the overall customer experience, and provide recommendations to improve results.
  • Keeping abreast of industry and regulatory trends to inform the product roadmap and enable continued compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Build and foster strong relationships across the value chain, to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues.

  • A self-starter with demonstrated experience in banking or related financial services with proven experience in product management, business analysis, risk management or project delivery, with a strong customer focus to help us maintain our position as the leading online broker in the market
  • The ability to think analytically and use data to develop insights, make decisions and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage competing priorities – need to have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommendations to problems
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated success in leading and delivering initiatives
  • Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and ability to work flexibly through change
  • Experience working in an agile environment and enjoy collaborating with others
  • Having an RG146 accreditation, understanding of trading, other investing products, or remediation experience will set you apart from the competition.
  • Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce/Finance degree preferred
