Summary
The Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) team is seeking a Product Manager - Technical 2 to join a team of high-performing PMTs. The ideal candidate is passionate about payments, knowledgeable about payment flows and gateways, and committed to driving innovation to solve complex business challenges.
Overview
In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to build new features and enhance the payment gateway product. Using the Working Backwards method, you will translate business requirements into platform and product roadmaps. You will work closely with Technical Program Managers, Developers, UX Designers, and internal stakeholders to define business needs, collect and share user stories with engineering teams, and act as the voice of the business customer to ensure platform services align with requirements.
Responsibilities
• Conducts analysis and delivery of user stories and features.
• Gathers and decomposes business requirements into clear user stories.
• Organizes internal forums to identify feature development opportunities.
• Assists in prioritizing product backlog and feature trade-offs.
• Leverages runtime metrics to inform backlog priorities.
• Owns and maintains product documentation for engineering teams.
• Supports customer research to inform platform features.
• Collaborates with internal teams on platform requirements.
• Ensures alignment between user experience design and technical delivery.
• Reviews demos against acceptance criteria.
• Identifies and addresses potential roadblocks to timely feature delivery.
• Works with internal teams and customer service to classify and prioritize customer issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
Knowledge / Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in related field - ICT, Business Analysis, Product Management
• Good technical knowledge of requirements analysis, data mapping, data analysis, gap analysis, functional and non-functional requirement gathering techniques.
Skills/ Abilities:
• High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with good relationship, collaborative and organization skills.
