Where the team fits in

This role sits within the Residential Design team within our Advertising & Value tribe. The team works closely with product and engineering to design customer-focused experiences that help our customers manage their advertising, understand the products and services available to them, and get more value from REA’s platforms. This includes improving how customers explore their contracts, discover advertising options and manage their products through Ignite, REA’s customer platform.

What the role is all about

  • Work alongside cross-functional partners in Product and Engineering to swiftly deliver products to market.
  • Collaborate with team members to effectively plan, prioritise, and execute product design activities, ensuring solutions meet business and user needs.
  • Conduct unbiased research using qualitative and quantitative methods to understand user needs and pain points, and iterate on opportunities.
  • Develop design solutions using sketching, prototyping, user interface design, motion, interaction design and AI with high competency.
  • Ensure product usability and desirability by validating product features for accessibility and user satisfaction.
  • Deliver user-centric and commercially feasible design solutions that align with team goals and business objectives.
  • Grow and refine your skills to ensure a comprehensive understanding and application of systems thinking adherent to our visual identity and design system.

Who we’re looking for

  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience in designing products using industry-standard design tools and best practice processes.
  • Demonstrable strong service design thinking mindset and experience facilitating workshops
  • Ability to successfully collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including technical and non-technical
  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
  • Works productively in a fast paced and agile environment, looking to create impact
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement, encouraging diverse viewpoints, and fostering productive relationships through positive feedback.
