We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Procurement Manager. This role will report to the Executive Manager, IT BPO and Corporate.
A bit about your role
As the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering category strategies across nbn’s corporate portfolio, with a strong focus on People & Culture, Marketing, Legal and related functions. You will lead end-to-end sourcing and strategic procurement activities, managing complex engagements. This includes guiding tender processes, leading negotiations, and establishing supplier arrangements that support critical business outcomes.
You will partner closely with senior stakeholders to understand their priorities and bring insight-led advice that enables confident decision-making. Your ability to translate market insights into practical strategies will strengthen category performance, while fostering trusted supplier relationships and ensuring strong governance. In a constantly evolving environment, you will also identify opportunities to embed innovation, including the considered use of emerging technologies such as AI, to enhance procurement outcomes.
A bit about you
You bring deep procurement experience within complex, large-scale organisations, with a strong track record across category management, strategic sourcing and end-to-end procurement delivery. Your experience includes working with business-critical services or supply arrangements, and you bring a strong understanding of procurement frameworks and practices. Your commercial judgement is well developed, and you are confident leading sourcing activities from strategy through to execution, including tendering, negotiations, contract management and supplier performance.
You are a collaborative partner who builds trust through open, respectful engagement and brings others with you. You are comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity, and you approach challenges with a calm, solutions-focused mindset. You take pride in contributing to meaningful outcomes, strengthening partnerships, and delivering value that supports nbn’s broader goals.
