About the Role
This role focuses on managing procurement, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, and delivering value across the organisation. As a key contributor to the procurement function, you will lead supplier negotiations, optimise spend management, and ensure compliance with company policies while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
Ideally, you will be based out of one of these major Australian cities - Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney and comfortable working in a hybrid environment (mixture of office and home).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies that support organisational objectives and align with the draft procurement strategy.
Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, contract management and performance management.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement activities with organisational goals.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Monitor market trends, identify opportunities for cost savings, and mitigate supply risks.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across all procurement activities.
Prepare, review, and present reports on procurement performance, spend analysis, and strategic initiatives.
Monitor supplier performance metrics and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance service delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to streamline processes and maximise value.
Mentor and guide procurement staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and performance.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role.
Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favourable outcomes.
Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and develop cost models to support decision-making.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
A proactive mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
Proficiency and experience in implementing procurement tools and platforms is highly desirable.
Experience in managing remote teams.
