The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager – Marketing to join Crown’s Procurement team, providing strategic and commercial expertise across the Marketing category. This role supports business needs across our Australian resorts in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, driving procurement strategies that unlock value and support marketing effectiveness.

Responsible for end‑to‑end category management, the role leads strategic sourcing, supplier performance and commercial planning activities, ensuring procurement outcomes align with business priorities. Partnering closely with senior stakeholders and supported by Category Leads, you will drive innovation, improve supplier outcomes and deliver sustainable cost savings while maintaining strong governance and risk management practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing Marketing category strategies and procurement plans aligned to business objectives
  • Leading strategic sourcing initiatives to optimise cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance
  • Delivering multi‑year savings and cost avoidance outcomes benefitting Business Unit P&Ls
  • Building and managing strategic supplier partnerships, contracts and supplier risk
  • Partnering with stakeholders and site teams to deliver consistent procurement and commercial outcomes
About You

This role suits a strong category management expertise and a marketing specialist. You bring the ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage supplier relationships and operate effectively across both strategic and operational environments.
You are an effective communicator and problem solver who thrives in complex, fast‑paced environments, with a strong understanding of governance, risk and procurement best practice. Your approach is collaborative, outcome‑driven and focused on delivering measurable commercial impact.
You will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance or a related discipline
  • experience in Category Management, sourcing or commercial procurement in indirect spend environments
  • A proven track record of delivering sustained cost savings and value creation initiatives
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
