Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, develop, implement and maintain Group Insurance applications using cloud technologies including technical leadership of a team of engineers working in an Agile onshore-offshore model. Lead the modernization efforts of the application set to increase agility to handle ever changing policy and regulatory provisions. Modernize a monolithic JAVA/COBOL/CICS/VSAM/DB2 application into a Java/Microservices/Micro-frontend/Salesforce.com on cloud. Collaborate with enterprise Architecture to ensure adherence to corporate strategy and establishment of guardrails for development teams to operate within. Collaborate with development team members (including offshore consultants) in designing, developing, and testing the system modification. Collaborate with Mainframe & Cloud Infrastructure Engineering. Collaborate with partnering applications in understanding, designing, and agreeing to the interface requirements. Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, Application Owners, and Release Train Engineers. Drive application changes to enable test automation efforts that will support integration, end to end, and user acceptance testing at the overall project or program level.
10% domestic travel required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field (will accept foreign education equivalent) and eight (8) years of application architecture and development experience in related occupation working with JAVA, Node, Integrations, SSO, Python, JavaScript, UI Frameworks, NoSQL, Salesforce.com, AI / ML and RDBMS databases in On-prem and Cloud environments. Position requires: Demonstrated experience using industry-standard tools, methodologies, and programming languages including Python, Java, Node, and/or cloud technologies like AWS or Azure, and DevOps practices. Demonstrated experience identifying, analyzing, and solving complex, unique technical challenges through critical thinking and innovation. Demonstrated experience on Integration patterns and Single Sign-On. Demonstrated experience multi-tasking effectively and working in an open, collaborative environment to support both individual and team objectives. Demonstrated experience working in a multi-site onshore-offshore model, including mentoring and guiding multiple geographically dispersed Agile development teams. Demonstrated experience applying AI or Workflow (BPM) tools to enhance engineering decision-making and modeling
The expected salary range for this position is $210,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
