Job DescriptionAbout the Team
Hirer Channels manages the products that enable hirers to access SEEK, through our web and mobile experiences, as well as via ATS integrations and APIs. Our remit includes acquiring new hirers, supporting their job-posting and job-management workflows, helping them manage their brand and content, and providing seamless payment experiences. We operate across eight markets and comprise eight high-performing, mission-driven, cross-regional teams.
Each team sets quarterly OKRs and owns its products end-to-end. Our stakeholder landscape is broad, with close partnerships across SEEK, including Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Data Science, Platform Services and Data Services.
About the role
We’re hiring a Principal Business Analyst to lead analysis on complex, high‑value initiatives across multiple teams. You’ll combine deep technical understanding with exceptional stakeholder management to shape solutions, drive outcomes, and role‑model BA excellence. This is a craft leadership role focused on technical leadership and delivery, not line management.
What you’ll do
- Build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and cross‑functional teams.
- Lead discovery, requirements, prioritisation, and solution design for complex initiatives end‑to‑end.
- Drive iteration planning, backlog refinement, and delivery across multiple teams; manage dependencies and risks.
- Facilitate workshops, clarify scope, and ensure traceability to business outcomes.
- Provide technical guidance on process modelling, testing/QA standards, and change management.
- Mentor and coach BAs; foster knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Partner with third‑party vendors as needed; support recruitment and onboarding.
What you’ll bring
- Strong technical understanding; able to translate complex systems and architectures into clear business outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication; lead through influence and mentor others.
- High judgment in ambiguity; comfortable owning outcomes across multi‑team programs.
- Mastery of BA practices: discovery, scoping, requirements, facilitation, analysis, and delivery oversight.
- Proven experience coordinating large programs and managing dependencies, risks, and change.
- Proficient in Agile practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence); strong data‑driven analysis skills (e.g., SQL); business process modelling expertise.
- Local candidate with existing work rights.
Nice to have
- Experience with project/program management principles and enterprise‑level initiatives.
- Background in online marketplaces.
- Prior experience in Software Engineering/Development, IT Service Management, or Iteration Management.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
