About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Performance & Improvement Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying, leading, and implementing initiatives that improve operational performance, compliance, customer outcomes, and business efficiency.

Working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, you will use data-driven insights to support decision-making, drive continuous improvement, and deliver strategic projects that align with organisational and WorkSafe objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Analysis

  • Analyse operational performance data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement

  • Monitor, measure, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business performance
     

Process Improvement

  • Review and evaluate existing procedures to ensure effectiveness, consistency, and compliance

  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement practical improvement solutions

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed best-practice processes across teams
     

Project Management & Delivery

  • Lead business improvement initiatives from concept and business case development through to implementation and evaluation

  • Oversee performance and compliance activities to support organisational and WorkSafe goals

  • Manage project timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery

  • Drive initiatives that enhance customer outcomes, remuneration performance, and operational effectiveness
     

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with operational teams and support functions to identify priorities and improvement opportunities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Support change management activities and drive successful adoption of new processes and initiatives
     

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful business actions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Demonstrated project management experience and the ability to deliver outcomes

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset

  • Proven ability to influence, engage, and drive change across diverse teams
     

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within Workers Compensation, including knowledge of relevant legislation, processes, and procedures

  • Strong understanding of WorkSafe performance measures and KPI frameworks

  • Experience in business improvement, performance improvement, operational excellence, or a similar role

  • Demonstrated project management experience

  • Proven ability to lead initiatives that improve operational performance and business outcomes
