Who We Are

Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.

We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.

In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.

Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.

This Role

We’re looking for a People Associate to join our People Team! Someone who’s eager to learn how world-class people operations work inside a high-growth, mission-driven company. You’ll work closely with our People Operations Specialist and the broader People team to support the employee experience from end to end, onboarding through to engagement, reporting, and operations.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain exposure to real projects, systems, and processes that power a global team. If you love learning, thrive in fast-paced environments, and enjoy solving problems with people, this is for you.

What you’ll do
  • Support People Operations by helping prepare new hire documentation, and contribute to smooth onboarding experiences

  • Assist with People Operations such as maintaining employee data, updating HRIS, and supporting payroll and reporting tasks.

  • Help improve our processes by identifying opportunities to make things more efficient, organised, and scalable as we grow.

  • Collaborate with the People Team to help drive engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives.

  • Get involved in Global Projects that connect our teams across the US, UK, and beyond.

  • We care more about attitude than experience. If you’re hungry, curious, and thrive in fast-moving environments where building relationships and solving complex problems are daily occurrences, we want to hear from you.

What we’re looking for
  • You’re a recent graduate in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field.

  • You’re curious, proactive, and eager to learn about the People side of growing a company.

  • You’re organised and detail-oriented, but not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

  • You communicate clearly, love connecting with people, and enjoy working collaboratively.

  • You’re excited by the idea of using technology and AI to reimagine HR and employee experience.

Attitude is more important than experience so if you are a hungry, competitive and highly motivated operator who has a knack for problem solving and building relationships, we want to hear from you.

What do we believe in?

Heidi builds for the future of healthcare, not just the next quarter, and our goals are ambitious because the world’s health demands it. We believe in progress built through precision, pace, and ownership.

  • Live Forever - Every release moves care forward: measured, safe, and built to last. Data guides us, but patients define the truth that matters.

  • Practice Ownership - Decisions follow logic and proof, not hierarchy. Exceptional care demands exceptional standards in our work, our thinking, and our character.

  • Small Cuts Heal Faster - Stability earns trust, speed delivers impact. Progress is about learning fast without breaking what people depend on.

  • Make others better - Feedback is direct, kindness is constant, and excellence lifts everyone. Our success is measured by collective growth, not individual output.

Our mission is clear: expand the world’s capacity to care, and do it without losing the humanity that makes care worth delivering.

Why you will flourish with us
  • Flexible hybrid working, with 3 days in the office

  • Monthly $150 AUD benefit to invest in your physical and mental wellbeing

  • Recharge Days after major milestones and busy periods

  • A generous personal development budget of $1000 AUD per annum

  • Become an owner, with shares (equity) in the company, if Heidi wins, we all win

  • A one-time home office setup contribution

  • 26 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers, 18 weeks for secondary carers

  • A fertility support benefit of $10,000 AUD covering IVF, egg freezing or sperm freezing

  • 10 days per year dedicated to supporting clinicians in maintaining accreditation

  • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of Australia’s leading healthtech startups

  • If you have an impact quickly, the opportunity to fast track your startup career!

Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment that brings people together from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our strength is in our differences. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome all applicants as we're committed to promoting a culture of opportunity for all.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
